Case Study

Trendsapio : Implementation of EKS for their SaaS

Background

Trendsapio is in need of implementation of their EKS solution for their SaaS. This required a scalable solution as the SaaS focuses on collaborative with Artists worldwide

The Challenge

Trendsapio aimed to modernize its legacy EC2-based setup to overcome infrastructure limitations and improve agility:

  • Scalability Constraints: Single EC2 instance limited horizontal scaling and performance under load
  • Availability Risks: Lack of redundancy led to frequent downtimes and reliability issues
  • Operational Overhead: Manual deployments and infrastructure management slowed delivery and innovation

Our Solution

We proposed migrating Trendsapio’s application to AWS Elastic Kubernetes Service (EKS). The architecture consists of:

  • Highly available EKS architecture with multi-AZ node groups and separate profiles for general and ML workloads

  • Microservices-based deployment with ALB, ACM, and Kubernetes-native routing for secure, scalable access

  • End-to-end observability using Prometheus, Grafana, Fluent Bit, Loki, Thanos, and Velero for monitoring, logging, and backup

  • Automation & security via Argo CD (GitOps), Karpenter (autoscaling), and Tigera (network policies) for resilient operations

The Result

Migration to AWS EKS delivered significant performance, efficiency, and operational gains for Trendsapio:
  • 4× increase in throughput and 99.99% availability with a resilient, multi-AZ EKS setup

  • 90% faster deployments using GitOps (Argo CD) and streamlined CI/CD workflows

  • 40% cost savings through autoscaling and use of spot instances

  • Stronger security & observability with network policies, centralized logging, and dashboards
